Melbourne based artist Mike Steva is a DJ with a sound and record collection that spans the globe! Enraptured by music’s aura at a young age, in particular house music, Mike has never looked back! Well aware of house music’s roots which stemmed from soul, funk & disco to where real house music is today, he is devoted to the cause. Eddie Amador famously quoted in one of his tracks ‘House is a feeling that no one can understand, unless you’re deep into the vibe of house’ - an awakening that Mike believes everyone can experience!
Having recently toured Europe and the USA - Playing in cities such as New York, Belgrade, amazing sunset parties in Ohrid and the famous Casablanca Soul in Santorini. Mike is also working with some of the biggest names in house music from Osunlade to DJ Sneak. He recently released a track named ‘Pa Pa Pow’ on Magnetic Recordings as part of the labels WMC 2012 sampler. It is receiving great reviews and hype from all over the world. Mike is also in the studio working on his debut EP release for Yoruba Records which is due out late 2012. Keep your ears to the ground as this exciting young talent is due for big things.His hard work ethic behind the decks and love for good music is unquestionable. Constantly searching and updating his music collection - A set from Mike is never the same, one thing for sure is that he will take you on a journey!
Establishing Deeperoots Music in August of 2010, Mike was fed up with the direction club culture had taken in recent years. People going out for all the wrong reasons, missing the point of actually going out to dance, going out for the love - and most importantly going out to hear good music! With the mindset of, 'If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself!’ Deeperoots Music was born! Playing host to a number of successful parties with world renowned artists such as Osunlade, Josh Milan & Zepherin Saint, Deeperoots is like a butterfly in a cocoon getting ready to spread its wings and fly! With plans for a record label and more bangin' parties - a good music movement is all that is envisioned!

Internationally annual performances at Bobby & Steve’s ‘Soul On The Beach’ party at the Miami plus performances alongside the likes of Black Coffee, Marshall Jefferson, Robert Owens, Osunlade, Julie Mcknight, Zepherin Saint & Josh Milan.
